“Exquisite soloist” – Cleveland Classical. A native of the U.S.A. and former student at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, Vincenzo Volpe is completing final undergraduate studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music and Case Western Reserve University. He is a former member of the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra, the Akron Youth Symphony, and the Cleveland Youth Wind Symphony. He is a winner of the Akron Youth Symphony Concerto Competition 2013, the Case Western Reserve Concerto Competition 2016, the Case Western Reserve Ronis Memorial Recital Contest 2016, the Tuesday Musical Society Regional Concerto Competition 2016, and the Three Arts Club of Lakewood Scholarship Contest 2016.
On the international stage, Vincenzo has performed in Europe, North America, and South America including performances at the Canadian Flute Association Convention in Toronto, the National Flute Association in Chicago, and the International Festival of Flutists in Lima, Peru.
His teachers have included Ulla Miilmann and Russ Itani (Danish National Symphony Orchestra), Mary Kay Fink (Cleveland Orchestra), Katherine DeJongh (Canton Symphony Orchestra) and George Pope (Akron Symphony Orchestra).
Vincenzo Volpe received his BA in Music at Case Western Reserve Univ. and the Cleveland Institute of Music. He studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, has performed abroad in Canada and Peru, and won the CWRU Concerto, Tuesday Musical Society, and Three Arts Club competitions of 2016.
