Latin jazz flutist César Vivanco Sánchez is founder and artistic director of the International Flute Festival in Lima, Peru since 1986.
He studied in the National Conservatory of Music and in 1978 studied with Alfredo Ianelli in Argentina.
He was first flute of the National Symphonic Orchestra for 25 years and professor in the National Conservatory of Music since 1973.
He has been invited several times to participate in the International Flute Festival in Ecuador and to perform in Los Angeles, Rio de Janeiro, Porto Alegre, Sao Paulo, Alabama, Orebro, Bergen, Bonn, Cali, Cuenca, Cologne, Hamburg & Santiago.
His recorded work includes the soundtrack of several films and 3 CDs, “Te vi una vez”, “Costa, Sierra y Selva al estilo de César Vivanco” and “César Vivanco ¡¡¡Qué salsa tiene usted!!!”
In 2009 he was invited to Utah to perform, give master classes, introduce his compositions and to participate in the Vivaldi by Candlelight season and The Intermountain Acoustic Festival.
